Boris Savić (Serbian Cyrillic: Борис Савић born 18 January 1988) is a Bosnian-Herzegovinian football coach and former player.

Career

Born in Trebinje, SR Bosnia and Herzegovina, he started his career in Serbia by playing with youth teams of Red Star Belgrade. As senior he started playing in Serbian lower-league sides Tavankut, Palić, Sinđelić Beograd and Hajduk Beograd. After a short spell in Bosnia and Herzegovina with Laktaši, he was back to Serbia this time by signing with FK Rad,[1] after tials in Germany with TSV 1860 Munich.[2] Next, he was back in Bosnia playing with FK Olimpik, FK Borac Banja Luka and FK Rudar Prijedor. He had a spell at FK Mornar in Montenegrin First League as well.[3]

One of three European additions to Moroka Swallows in 2014,[4] he missed the clubs first two matches owing to work permit delays.[5] After being cleared to play,[5] Savic was sidelined for six weeks due to getting an injury and had to unpremeditatedly undergo an operation.[6] In the end, the Bosnian left the South African team as his mother was ill and asked the club if he could return to his home country.[7]

After finishing his playing career he got an UEFA A licence as coach. He satrted as main coach of FK Jedinstvo Žeravica,[8] and in summer 2017 he moved to Cyprus where he became assistant coach of Vladan Milojević at Alki Oroklini.[9]
