Borger (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈbɔrɣər]) is a village in the Dutch province of Drenthe. It is a part of the municipality of Borger-Odoorn, and lies about 18 km east of Assen.

In 2001, the town of Borger had 4724 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 1.6 km², and contained 2058 residences.[1] The statistical area "Borger", which can also include the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 5110.[2]

Until 1998, Borger was a separate municipality.

In Borger they have the world largest dolmen ("hunebed"), with dedicated museum.
