Boparai is a village in Bhulath Tehsil in Kapurthala district of Punjab State, India. It is located 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) from Bhulath, 30 kilometres (19 mi) away from district headquarter Kapurthala. The village is administrated by a Sarpanch who is an elected representative of village as per the constitution of India and Panchayati raj (India). [2]

Demography

According to the report published by Census India in 2011,Boparai has 424 houses with the total population of 2,001 persons of which 1,021 are male and 980 females. Literacy rate of Boparai is 78.63%, higher than the state average of 75.84%. The population of children in the age group 0–6 years is 190 which is 9.50% of the total population. Child sex ratio is approximately 652, lower than the state average of 846.[3]
