Boalkhali Municipality is in Boalkhali Upazila which is part of Chittagong District, Chittagong Division of Bangladesh.
Its formed by former East Gomdandi Head querter Union and one to six unit of West Gomdandi union and one to three unit of Kadhurkil union parishod.

The total area of Boalkhali Municipality is 15.38 SKM. where nine election unit o wards and every unit's voter elect one councilor and One Female councilor by three unit/Ward.

Accoridng to 2011 Cencus statistics , Boalkhali Municipality is populated by 51,695.
