Bo Martyn

Bo Martyn (born 27 September 1991) is a Polish-born actress and writer from Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Career

Bo Martyn first made her appearance on screen as Anelie in feature comedy Everyday is like Sunday in 2013.[1]

Martyn plays Frieda in upcoming feature film State Like Sleep with Katherine Waterston, Michael Shannon and Luke Evans which premiered at the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival, and also appeared in Aaron Sorkin's directorial debut, Molly's Game, starring Jessica Chastain, which premiered at the 2017 Toronto international Film festival.[2][3]

Martyn has made television appearances on HBO's Sensitive Skin, SYFY's The Expanse and plays recurring character Tiffany Gimble on ABC's award-winning show Designated Survivor starring Kiefer Sutherland.

Early life

Bo Martyn was born in Swinoujscie, a city and seaport on the Baltic Sea and Szczecin Lagoon, located in the extreme north-west of Poland. She moved to Canada with her family at the age of three. She attended bilingual French- and English-speaking schools.

Martyn graduated from Humber College's general arts and science program with an associate degree. She was accepted into York University where she majored in psychology and worked simultaneously as a flight attendant for Porter Airlines.

She was hired by a law firm to read from a teleprompter for a business news program and enrolled at The Second City in Toronto to study improvisational theatre.
