Blattellinae is a subfamily of the cockroach family Ectobiidae (formerly "Blattellidae"). It includes the global household pest Blattella germanica, the German cockroach,[1] but also a number of species that are known to be endangered. It contains about 70 genera.[2]

Saltoblattella, which contains the single species Saltoblattella montistabularis, was described in 2009 and preliminarily placed in the Blattellinae subfamily, although its position within the family Ectobiidae was not clear.[6]
