Betty Moon (born in Toronto[1]) is a composer, singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, filmmaker and entrepreneur. Moon has recorded eight albums, including the full length, Chrome released in 2017.

Career

Moon is a former teen model, singer and dancer. She sold over 10,000 DIY records during her high school years and A&M/Universal signed her to a record deal, launching her professional career.

Since then, Moon has been nominated for multiple CASBY Awards including Best Album of the Year, Best Single of the Year, Best Video of the Year, and Best Artist of the Year. Moon has released eight records including her A&M Records self-titled debut, STIR, Doll Machine on EMI Music, Demon Flowers, Rollin' Revolution, Amourphous, Pantomania and CHROME.

In 2010, Moon relocated to Los Angeles and released Rollin' Revolution, which garnered airplay on L.A. rock radio station KROQ. In 2013, Moon was a featured artist at the Sunset Strip Music Festival. Moon has performed at venues including The Roxy, Whisky a Go Go, and The Viper Room in Hollywood, California.

Amourphous, which Moon produced/released in 2014 and features the single, "Valentine," was mixed by Chris Lord-Alge. In 2015, Moon released her seventh album Pantomania,[2][3] which debuted in the Top 10 on College Radio airplay charts and has seen its two singles "No Good" and "Firehose" which enjoyed played on L.A.'s KLOS Radio.

Moon's music has been featured in television shows and films including Californication, Dexter, Bounty Hunters, Walking the Dead directed by Melanie Ansley, and Last Gasp starring Robert Patrick. Her most recent music has also had mass media coverage including editorial from The Huffington Post,[4] Blog Critics,[5] Alternative Nation,[6] Huffington Post #2[7] and currently charting at #2 via New Canadian Music[8]'s mainstream charts.

Moon's 2017 Chrome has produced four singles, including "Sound", "Life Is But A Dream", "Natural Disaster", and "Parachute". Moon resides in the Los Angeles, California where she operates her record label and production company Evolver Music Inc.
