Bento Box Entertainment (also known as Bento Box Animation) is an American animation studio located in North Hollywood, California.[1] It was founded in 2009 by executive producers Scott Greenberg, Joel Kuwahara, and Mark McJimsey. The current owners of Bento Box Entertainment are Scott Greenberg, Joel Kuwahara, and Brett Coker. The name comes from bento boxes, a meal style in Japanese cuisine.

Bento Box Entertainment is an Emmy award-winning studio that develops and produces quality-animated content for all distribution platforms worldwide. Recognized as the leading producer of primetime animated comedy series for broadcast, cable and digital networks, the company works with the leading networks, studios and distribution companies including Fox Broadcasting Company, Comedy Central, MTV, Adult Swim, HBO, Hulu, IFC, Disney, 20th Century Fox Television (including Fox 21), Sony Pictures Television, Lionsgate, The Tornante Company, and Broadway Video among others.[2]

It produced the series Bob's Burgers in 2011 for Fox. It is currently in production on the YouTube series Glove and Boots.

Bento Box Entertainment has four animation studios - in North Hollywood, Burbank, Bento Box Animation Studio Atlanta, in Atlanta, Georgia, and Bento Box Canada in Toronto, Ontario.[3][4] [5]

On October 11, 2016, Bento Box launched a children's division called Sutikki.[6] Sutikki opened an office in the United Kingdom.[7]

Bento Box Interactive

Bento Box Interactive is an entertainment-based technology company launched in 2012 by Bento Box Entertainment. In October 2012, Bento Box Interactive partnered with Alicia Keys to create an education mobile application entitled "The Journals of Mama Mae and LeeLee" for iOS devices.[8] The application tells the story of the relationship between a young New York City girl and her wise grandmother and features two original songs by Keys, "Follow the Moon" and "Unlock Yourself".[9]
