The men's 5x5 basketball tournament at the 2018 Asian Games was held in Jakarta, Indonesia from 14 August to 1 September 2018.[1]

Draw

The official draw for both the men's basketball events were held on 5 July 2018 in Jakarta.[2] The Philippines[3] and Palestine[4] withdrew after the draw. On 5 August, the Philippines, through a hastily-made press conference by their national basketball federation, decided to field a team and would play in the Games.[5]
