Ashley Iaconetti (/ˌaɪkəˈnɛti/)[1] is an American television personality and journalist notable for being a contestant on several series in The Bachelor television franchise, including The Bachelor, Bachelor in Paradise, and The Bachelor Winter Games.

Personal life

Iaconetti was born on March 6, 1988 in Great Falls, Virginia. She attended Langley High School and James Madison University. She earned a masters degree in Broadcasting and Digital Journalism from Syracuse University.[2]

In March 2018, Iaconetti started dating Bachelor in Paradise castmate Jared Haibon.[3] They got engaged in June 2018.[4]

Career

The Bachelor franchise

In 2015, Iaconetti appeared in season 19 of The Bachelor, competing for Chris Soules.[5] She shared her season with another contestant named Ashley, Ashley Salter,[6] leading to her nickname of "Ashley I" to distinguish the two. The nickname has persisted beyond the show, and is used in other contexts such as the name of one of her podcasts.[7]

Iaconetti later appeared in season 2 and 3 of Bachelor in Paradise.[8] In season 3, she briefly dated Wells Adams, but did not leave paradise in a relationship.

In 2018, Iaconetti appeared in the first season of The Bachelor Winter Games.[9] Iaconetti and Wendt became the first winners of the Bachelor Winter Games.

Journalism

Iaconetti is a correspondent for Access Hollywood and Clevver TV.[10]

Iaconetti is a contributor for Cosmopolitan.[11] She also co-hosts The Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast with Ben Higgins[12] and the I Don't Get It podcast, along with Naz Perez and her sister, Lauren Iaconetti.[13]
