Ase Boas (born 26 December 1988) is a Papua New Guinean rugby league footballer who will be playing for the Featherstone Rovers in England next year in the Betfred Championship.[2] He played for the Papua New Guinea Hunters in the Queensland Cup. Boas comes from a mixed parentage of East New Britain,Oro and Simbu. Primarily playing at five-eighth, Boas has represented the Papua New Guinea national team, most notably at the 2013 and 2017 World Cups.
Playing career
Boas was the captain for the PNG Hunters in the Queensland Cup. He previously played for the Rabaul Gurias in the PNG domestic competition,[3] which he captained to two Grand Final victories in 2009 and 2012 before joining the Hunters in 2015. He is the elder brother of fellow PNG representative Watson Boas.
Boas represented Papua New Guinea in rugby league nines at the 2015 Pacific Games.
