Anoop Sagar is an Indian actor who has done Tulu language films. He is popularly known for his lead role in first international Tulu Movie Nirel[1] directed by Ranjith Bajpe and jointly produced by Shodhan Prasad and San Poojary. He went on further to work in yet another Tulu blockbuster Dhand.[2] in a negative character and has received great reviews. An enthusiast and a lover of dance, he was also a part of the famous entertainment troupe called Ocean Kids Dance Company.

Early life

Anoop was born on 6 December at Sagar Shimoga, and later moved to Mangalore with his family. He has completed a Travel & Tourism diploma at Globe College of travel & tourism in Mangalore. Being part of famous dance troupe he has performed in various events around the globe, and this also led him to choreograph for various Bollywood & Sandalwood movie celebrities and Arabic artists.

He has a sister, Anvita Sagar who is also an actress in Tulu Movies. She has starred in 'Dhand' movie opposite Sandeep Shetty.[3]

Career

After completion of his studies in Mangalore, he was working in Mumbai as a Travel consultant for 2 years. Later he moved on to Dubai in search of better opportunities.[4] As he was working in Dubai, always having dreamt to be an actor,he attended audition for Nirel which was held at Fortune Grand Hotel Dubai,[5] and got selected to play lead role. As shooting was done only during weekends,[6] Nirel movie took one year to complete. Upon the release of Nirel, his acting skills well appreciated.[7] Because of lover boy image, he got many fans around globe. Later he signed Dhand as negative role character[8] as he wanted to experiment with roles. Anoop played role of Karthik, a drug addict in Dhand and his acting and action skills much appreciated.[9] He has also choreographed for dance sequences in both the movies .
