Andrew Forbes

Andrew Forbes is the Director of Music of Glasgow Cathedral.[1] He is an organist, harpsichordist and conductor as well as a trustee of the Glasgow Society of Organists.[2]

He was appointed as director in October 2014 after winning the 2014 Northern Ireland International Organ Competition.[3] He is originally from Perth, Scotland,[4] and has performed recitals throughout Europe at venues including Royal Albert Hall, Trinity College, Worcester Cathedral[4], St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum, St. John’s Kirk (Perth), The Caird Hall, St Salvator's Chapel (St. Andrews) and De Krijtberg Kerke.[2] In 2012 he played the grand organ of the Royal Albert Hall with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and NYOS for a performance of Respighi’s Pines of Rome.[3]
