Songwriting and producing
The Black Eyed Peas
”BIG LOVE” by the Black Eyed Peas is co-written by Anders Grahn, who also is one of the prominent vocalists in the song’s chorus. BIG LOVE was released as the main single for the Grammy winning group’s album Masters of the Sun, release date October 12 2018. The graphic video, that is a 9 minute double video for the same song with two different stories, addresses both school shootings in the United States, as well as children being taken from their parents by the border to USA, and is a collaboration with tow organizations, March For Our Lives and Families Belong Together.
Kelsy Karter
”God Knows I’ve Tried” is a single by New Zealand born, Los Angeles residing singer Kelsy Karter. The song is written by Anders Grahn, Michael M Maughan and Kelsy Karter early 2018, and is a confessional and very personal song for Kelsy, dealing with childhood expectations as well as moving far away from her family, and simply the pressures of growing up to be an adult. Anders also wrote the single ”Easy Tiger” released earlier 2018 together with Kelsy and Michael, as well as Rob Kleiner.
sonofsteve
In December 2017 Anders released his first single ”Not enough” as a solo artist, under the name: ”sonofsteve”.[1]
Anastacia
During the summer of 2017 & 2018 Anders has been touring as guitarist with Anastacia on her ”Ultimate Collection Tour” and ”Evolution Tour” throughout Europe.
Anders is one of the writers ("Why", "Higher living") and additional producers ("Before", "Reckless") as well as guitarist, background singer, percussionist and bass player on Anastacia's new album Evolution. Released 15 September 2017.
Andrew McMahon
Cecilia and the Satellite is co-written by Anders, Andrew McMahon and James Flannigan. It released as the lead single from McMahon's self-titled debut album Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness on 12 August 2014 and has been on several US charts. One of the peak positions until this date is No. 5 on US Billboard Alternative Songs.
"Cecilia and the Satellite" features in the CBS' superhero action drama Supergirl[2] as well as in the TV spot for the Warner Bros Pictures film Pan and The Fox Network series Red Band Society[3]
The single went Gold awarded (500.000 units sold) in the U.S on 28 June 2016.[4]
Haley Reinhart
Anders has co-written 5 of the total 11 tracks ("Better", "Good or Bad", "Talkin' About", "Listen" and "Bad Light") on Haley Reinhart's full-length album Better.
He's also produced 3 of them ("Better", "Good or Bad" and "Bad Light").
Together with Reinhart and a group of writers and producers he's been working on the album for about three years. Some of their co-works started in the Black Rock Studios, Santorini, in 2013.
[5]
The title track was released as the album's lead single on 8 April and the full-length album released on 30 April (2016).
"Listen" has already been featured in the trailer of the showtime Network series Years of Living Dangerously, executive produced by James Cameron. [6]
The album debuted at no 22 on Billboard Independent Albums Chart in May (2016).
15 September (2017) the single & video for "Let's start" was released. This is a collaboration between Anders, Haley and Rob Kleiner, written in the fall of 2016. "Let's Start" is one out of just three original songs on the album "What's That Sound?" (Concord Records) that is released 22 September 2017. The trio: Anders, Haley & Rob also wrote one of the other original album tracks together, titled "Somewhere In Between".
On June 1, 2018, the single "Last Kiss Goodbye" (written and produced by Anders and Haley) was released as a precursor to Haley’s upcoming fourth studio album, planned for release later in 2018.
”Don’t Know How To Love You” is a song written by Anders Grahn, Haley Reinhart and Rob Kleiner. The song is the fastest growing original song for the Chicago born singer since her debut single after American Idol in 2011, and marks a new sound that leans a lot deeper into the organic and gritty spectrum of music than before. Anders Grahn and Haley Reinhart is well into their 5th year of penning songs together. Earlier 2018 Haley also did a flash release of the 2,5 minute long bossa-nova, ”Last Kiss Goodbye”, written by Haley and Anders Grahn. The writing duo also produced the song together in Anders’s Los Angeles studio.
TVXQ
The single "Android" with the Korean band TVXQ went gold in just one day, as well as the album being the world's biggest selling album during its week of release in the spring of 2013.
It went platinum in Japan a few weeks after coming out on the market and together with two other tracks for the same band, "Disvelocity" and "Tree of Life" – the sales are currently up to a total of approximately 1,500,000 units sold.
The two other songs written by Anders, have both sold gold and platinum in Japan as well.[7]
In October 2017 TVXQ released their greatest hits album ”Fine collection - Begin again” featuring both ”Android” and ”Tree of life”. After two days it became the best selling album of the week in Japan. [8]
Hayley Kiyoko
Anders, James Flannigan and the singer/songwriter/actress Hayley Kiyoko have co-written "Rich youth" featured on Hayley's EP "A Belle to Remember", released in 2013 [9] and "Given it all", featured on the EP This Side of Paradise, released in 2015.
Rebecca Ferguson
In 2013 Rebecca Ferguson and the London Metropolitan Orchestra performed the song "Heroes"
as the main theme for the animated movie Justin and the Knights of Valour, produced by Antonio Banderas.
The song is written by Anders and James Flannigan, recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London and arranged by Ilan Eshkeri.
[10]
Tingsek
In April 2016 the Swedish soul artist, Tingsek, released his first single in four years. The track is called "The Fiddlers" and it is co-written by Anders and Tingsek. [11] [12]
Anders is also one of the co-writers of "Maggie & Al" (together with Allen Stone and Tingsek). The song is featured on Tingsek's album "Amygdala" (2016) and it's a duet between Tingsek and Allen Stone.
In May 2017 the single "Lie to me" was released. Written by Anders and Tingsek.
Dean Lewis
Anders is co-writing tracks for the Australian singer/songwriter Dean Lewis' debut album. [13]
