Ambedkar Institute of Advanced Communication Technologies and Research (abbreviated AIACTR or AIT Delhi) is a public engineering college located in Geeta Colony, Delhi. It was established in 2001 by the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi. It is developing as a Centre of Excellence imparting technical education in the field of engineering. It is affiliated to the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.[1]
History
The institute took possession of an area of 8.5 acres (34,000 m2) in Geeta colony in 2005. It started operating from the campus in 2008.[2]
Campus
AIACTR is located in Geeta Colony, East Delhi. The campus is situated near the bank of the Yamuna river. The campus is also close to two metro stations: Laxmi Nagar metro station (Blue line) and Shastri Park metro station (Red line).
The college has a centralized air-conditioning system, RO system along with backup electricity supply. It has a playground, with Volleyball court, Badminton court, football (soccer) and cricket ground.

AIACTR was ranked 14th in the DataQuest Magazine 2015 survey of government-owned technical schools.[5]
Student festivals
Conversance - Proscenium is the annual cultural cum technical fest of AIACTR. It began as a platform for the students to showcase their talent and knowledge in fields of practical application and cultural significance.
For 2009, it conducted a Technical CSI fest.[6]
The annual KHEL sports meet includes major sports: cricket, football, badminton, LAN gaming, etc.
