Alina Jenkins

Alina Jenkins (born Eastleigh, Hampshire) 1974 age (44) is a British BBC Weather presenter and radio presenter on BBC Radio Solent, and weather presenter on BBC South Today and Points West. She has also presented the forecast on BBC Look North (Yorkshire and North Midlands).

Jenkins grew up in Horton Heath (near Fair Oak) and attended Fair Oak School.[1] When she was 16, Jenkins attended Laine Theatre Arts School in Epsom, and was a flatmate of Victoria Beckham. After a dancing job on a cruise ship,[1] Jenkins joined the BBC via BBC Talent, working initially for Radio Solent, before joining South Today as their main weather presenter in 2001.

On 21 July 2006, Jenkins presented her final BBC South weather forecast. She has since returned to work on Radio Solent, currently presenting the Breakfast in Dorset show from 6.30am to 9.00am on weekdays and the station's breakfast show from 6.00am to 8.00am on Saturdays. Currently seen on BBC1's 10pm Sunday night news presenting the UK National weather forecast.

Personal life

Jenkins is married to David and the couple have a son, Max. She teaches jazz and modern dance and also undertakes some choreography.
