The Alicyclobacillaceae are a family of Gram-positive bacteria. They are extremophiles with certain strains living at around 70 °C and a pH of 1.5–5.5.^[1] Endospores are formed.^[1] The family contains three genera: Alicyclobacillus, Kyrpidia, and Tumebacillus.^[2]
