Alex Wyse is an American stage and screen actor. He is best known for playing Kyle in Marvel's Iron Fist, Saul Feinberg in The Bold and the Beautiful,[1] and Georg Zirschnitz in the 2015 Deaf West Broadway revival of Spring Awakening.
Early life
Wyse grew up in Cleveland, Ohio where he graduated from Beachwood High School, and later graduated from Boston University with a degree in theatre.[2]
Career
On television, Wyse has appeared in multiple roles since 2010 including Bored to Death, Switched at Birth, The Bold and the Beautiful, and Masters of Sex. In film, he appeared opposite America Ferrera in X/Y.
In theater, he made his Broadway debut in Lysistrata Jones, which ran at the Walter Kerr Theatre from 2011 to 2012.[3] He appeared Off-Broadway in Lysistrata Jones, Triassic Parq, Bare. In 2013-2014, he toured with the national company of Wicked, playing the role of Boq.[2] In 2015, he appeared opposite Evan Rachel Wood and Rumer Willis in For the Record: Dear John Hughes in Los Angeles.[4][5]
He then joined the Deaf West Theatre company's production of Spring Awakening as schoolboy Georg Zirschnitz. He stayed with the show during its transfer to Broadway, and performed as Georg until the show's final closing on January 24, 2016.[6]
In 2016, he performed Off-Broadway in MCC Theater's production of Ride the Cyclone.[7]
In 2017, he joined the cast of The Bold and The Beautiful on CBS, playing Saul Feinberg, the grandson of Sally Spectra's former tailor and friend Saul Feinberg,[8] and he played Kyle in Marvel's Iron Fist on Netflix, opposite David Wenham.
With Wesley Taylor, he co-created the web series Indoor Boys.[9] They were nominated for five Indie Series Awards, and won two, including Wyse for Best Lead Actor - Comedy. [10]
In 2018, he joined the cast of Waitress on Broadway, as Ogie.[11]
