Al Naqbi (Arabic: النقبي), (Plural:Al Naqbiyin or "النقبيين") is a name of a tribe in the United Arab Emirates in the emirates of Fujairah, Sharjah, and Ras Al Khaimah. Part of the tribe settled in Oman. Al Naqbi clan has originally lived in Ras Al Khaimah in Wadi Naqab (Arabic: وادي نقب). The clan is part of the old Ghaferi tribes (Arabic: القبائل الغافرية) that lived in Ras Al Khaimah. The Ghaferi tribes are also the descendents of the Khata'am tribe (Arabic: خثعم) part of the Banu Makhzum (Arabic: بني مخزوم) tribe which was one of the wealthy clans of Quraysh.
