Akbarpur is a village in Bhulath Tehsil in Kapurthala district of Punjab State, India. It is located 27 kilometres (17 mi) from Bhulath, 37 kilometres (23 mi) away from district headquarter Kapurthala. The village is administrated by a Sarpanch who is an elected representative of village as per the constitution of India and Panchayati raj (India). [2]

According to the report published by Census India in 2011,Akbarpur has 268 houses with the total population of 1,175 persons of which 584 are male and 591 females.
