Aging is a peer-reviewed open access scientific journal. The journal and publisher were listed on Jeffrey Beall’s lists of "Potential, possible, or probable predatory scholarly open-access journals"[1] and "Potential, possible, or probable" predatory open-access publishers respectively.[2] It has been alleged that the journal games the impact factor by requiring authors to provide references to other recent papers in the journal and does not conduct adequate peer-reviews of articles.[3] According to Scopus/Scimago Journal Rank (2015), Aging is ranked number 3 on Cites/Docs (2 years) in the Aging category.[4] Aging is indexed in MEDLINE/PubMed,[5] Pubmed Central, ISI/Web of Science: Science Citation Index Expanded,[6] Scopus,[4] Biological Abstracts,[7] BIOSIS Previews,[8] EMBASE.[9]
