Admete (Oceanid)

In Greek mythology, Admete (/ædˈmiːtiː/; Ancient Greek: Ἀδμήτη "the unbroken" or "unwedded, untamed") or Admeta, was one of the Oceanids, daughters of Oceanus and Tethys.[1] Along with her other sisters, she was one of the companions of Persephone in Sicily when the god Hades abducted the daughter of Demeter.[2] Hyginus in the preface to his fables calls her Admeto.[3]
