Abena Appiah (June 2, 1993) is Ghanaian-American fashion designer, model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Universe Ghana 2014 and represented Ghana at the Miss Universe 2014 pageant. she also represented the state of New York at the America's Miss World 2017.

Early life

Abena had her primary and part of high school education in the United States of America completing her high school education in United States of America. She is currently attending Radford University College studying Fashion & Design.[1] Her philosophy in life is “Strive hard to achieve your goal no matter the circumstance”. She participated in Miss Ghana 2012 and won the Miss Talent award.

Pageantry

Top Model of the World 2013

Abena won Top Model Ghana and represented Ghana at Top Model of the World 2013 in Egypt.[2]

Miss Universe Ghana 2014

Abena was crowned as Miss Universe Ghana 2014 and represented Accra.[3]

Miss Universe 2014

Abena competed at the Miss Universe 2014 pageant but Unplaced.

America's Miss World 2017

Abena represented the state of New York at the America's Miss World 2017 on August 13, 2017 in Orlando, Florida and placed Top 16.[4]

Reality shows

Abena was contested for X Factor and made it to the finals but due to exams she couldn’t travel to Nigeria and decided to drop out. She can be described with entertainment she love’s to entertain and love’s to be entertained, She started modeling at the age of three and discovered her music abilities at the age of nine.
