Aanimuthyam (English: Pearl) is a 1988 Telugu drama film, produced by Kesireddy Maheswara Rao under the Leela Movies banner and directed by Bindela Eswara Rao.[1] It stars Rajendra Prasad, Radhika, Sarath Babu in the lead roles and music composed by Chandra Shekar.[2][3]
Plot
Ravi Chandra (Sarath Babu) & Prashanthi (Radhika) work as teachers in a school and both of them love each other. Once a goon Bhanoji Rao (Chalasani Krishna Rao) molests Prashanthi and she becomes pregnant. Even then Ravi Chandra accepts her along with the child Murali. But Prashanthi feels Murali as an heir of a monster and shows her hatred towards him. After that, they have another child Suresh. Years roll by, Murali (Rajendra Prasad) becomes an honest Police officer whereas Suresh (Rajanish) becomes a debauchery person who is submerged in all sorts of vices. Even after so many years Prashanti's attitude towards Murali does not change and keeps him at a distance which makes Murali desperate. But Ravi Chandra takes care of him with love & affection. On the other side, Bhanoji Rao becomes a huge gangster who performs all kinds of illegal activities and creates a lot of atrocities in the society. But focusses himself as a respectable person to the public. Murali gives a tough fight to Bhanoji Rao & his gang without knowing their relation. So, Bhanoji Rao traps Suresh and keeps him in his grip. Meanwhile, drunkard Suresh makes an accident, hits his own father and leaves him on the road. Here Murali saves him by donating his blood while Prashanthi slowly understands the virtue of her son.
Parallelly, Murali becomes more vigorous towards Bhanoji Rao's gang, so, he orders his henchmen to eliminate him. In the combat, Ravi Chandra comes in between and sacrifices his life to protect Murali. Before dying, he convinces Prashanthi by telling a greatness of a pearl and asks her to show affection towards Murali. Suresh does not attend even to his father's funeral. Eventually, Bhanoji Rao plans to sell country's secrets to foreigners along with Suresh. Murali gets information regarding this and starts his operation. At that time, Prashanthi recognizes Bhanoji Rao and unknowingly she reveals the birth secret of Murali. After knowing the truth, Murali promises his mother that he will protect his brother at any cost who is the last memory of his father. Murali attacks on their den and kills Bhanogi Rao. By the time, Suresh runs out with the secrets Murali chases and tries to reform him. But he does not yield and when Suresh is about to fire on Murali Prashanthi shoots him. When she says nothing is greater than a country. Finally, the movie ends Govt appreciating for Prashanthi's deed and Murali is awarded the Gold Medal.
