The 79th World Science Fiction Convention (Worldcon) will take place in 2021.
Site selection
The site of the convention will be chosen by members of the 77th World Science Fiction Convention from the set of bids for hosting it.[1] As of August 2017, the following committees have announced bids for hosting the convention:[2]

Awards
The Hugo Awards, named after Hugo Gernsback, are presented every year for the best science fiction or fantasy works and achievements of the previous year. The results are based on the ballots submitted by members of the World Science Fiction Society. Other awards, including the John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer, are also presented at each year's Worldcon.[4]
The awards will be announced at the convention.
