52 Sagittarii (52 Sgr) is a class B8[3] (blue main-sequence) star in the constellation Sagittarius. Its apparent magnitude is 4.59[2] and it is approximately 190 light years away based on parallax.[1]

It has one companion at separation 2.4" with magnitude 9.2 and spectral class in K2V-K4V, believed to be the source of X-ray emissions from the system.[11][12]
