23Red Racing is an Australian motor racing team that competes in the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship. Launching at the last round of the 2017 Supercars Championship in Newcastle, 23Red Racing was founded by Phil Munday; with its new workshop residing in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Their fleet consists of a Supercar and Porsche GT3 competing in all relevant championships. Accompanying the fleet is a Dunlop Series Falcon primed for the 2019 series. It fields a single Tickford Racing built Ford FG X Falcon, driven by Will Davison.[1]
Background
Having an extensive successful history in the panel industry with national stores across Australia and New Zealand, Phil Munday has been a long-time supporter of motor sport for the last 20 years as a means to activate his businesses. Now he has made the move from sponsor to team owner with 23Red Racing.
Racing history
23Red Racing signed two-time Bathurst 1000 winner Will Davison as their inaugural driver, with title sponsorship from Milwaukee Tools.[2] The team had a solid start to the 2018 Supercars Championship, with four top ten finishes for Davison in the first ten races.[3]
