The 2019 Walsh Cup is an inter-county hurling competition based in the Irish province of Leinster. It takes place in December 2018 and January 2019.[1][2][3]
No third-level college teams will take part. Seven Leinster counties compete. The other counties play in the second-ranked Kehoe Cup.
Format
There are 7 teams. Four teams play in the group stage, in which each team plays the other teams once. Two points are awarded for a win and one for a draw. The group winners advance to the semi-finals.
Three teams receive a bye to the semi-finals: Kilkenny, Galway and Wexford.
