2019 NRL season

2019 National Rugby League
Teams 16

The 2019 NRL season will be the 112th season of professional rugby league in Australia and the 22nd season run by the National Rugby League.

Teams

The lineup of teams will remain unchanged for the 13th consecutive year.

Pre-season

The 2019 pre-season will feature the All Stars match to be held on February 15 at AAMI Park.[3] The World Club Challenge match will see the NRL premiers Sydney Roosters facing the Super League champions Wigan Warriors or Warrington Wolves.

Regular season

For the first time, the NRL announced that the entirety of a round of games will be hosted at a single venue, adopting the Super League's Magic Weekend concept. It will take place during Round 9 at Suncorp Stadium.[4]

State of Origin will be played in Perth for the first time, with Game 2 of the 2019 series to be played at Optus Stadium.[5]
