The 2019 Chicago Cubs season will be the 148th season of the Chicago Cubs franchise, the 144th in the National League and the Cubs' 104th season at Wrigley Field. The Cubs will be managed by Joe Maddon,[1] in his fifth year as Cubs manager, and will play their home games at Wrigley Field as members of Major League Baseball's National League Central Division.

The Cubs will begin their season at the Texas Rangers on Thursday March 28[2] and will end their season at the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday September 29.[3] The Cubs' 2019 home opener will be Monday April 8 against the Pittsburgh Pirates[4] and the 2019 home finale will be Sunday September 22 against the St. Louis Cardinals.[5]
