The 2017 Orlando City B season was the club's second year of existence, and their second season in the Eastern Conference of the United Soccer League, the second tier of the United States soccer pyramid. It was their first and ultimately only year playing in the new Orlando City Stadium in Downtown Orlando.

This was City B's final season in the second tier of American soccer. During the 2017–18 offseason, City B's Major League Soccer parent, Orlando City SC, announced that City B would not participate in the 2018 USL season.[1] Then, during the 2018 season, City SC and the USL's parent, United Soccer Leagues, announced that City B would become a founding member of the new third-tier USL League One in 2019.[2] At the same time, City SC also announced that the new home of City B would be at Montverde Academy in the Orlando suburb of Montverde, which houses City SC's development academy.[3]
