The 2017 Cork Senior Football Championship is the 129th edition of the Cork GAA's premier club Gaelic football tournament for senior graded teams in County Cork, Ireland. The tournament consists of 26 teams (20 clubs and 6 of the 8 divisional sides) with the winner going on to represent Cork in the Munster Senior Club Football Championship. The championship has a back-door format for the first three rounds before proceeding to a knock-out format. Generally, any team to lose two/three matches will be knocked out of the championship.

Carbery Rangers were the defending champions after they defeated Ballincollig after in the previous years final.

Should Clyda Rovers or St. Nicholas' faile to win a match this year they will be demoted to the 2018 P.I.F.C. Now a club will only be demoted if they fail to register a win in two consecutive years or two seasons out of three.

This was Kiskeam's debut in the senior grade after claiming the 2016 Premier Intermediate Football Championship title. The club were founded in 1945 and have never competed in the top-flight previously.
