The Cork Intermediate Football Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the Evening Echo Cork County Intermediate Football Championship) is an annual Gaelic football competition organised by the Cork County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1909 for the third tier Gaelic football teams in the county of Cork in Ireland.
The series of games are played during the summer and autumn months with the county final currently being played in October. The prize for the winning team is the Seán Ó Súilleabháin Cup. The championship includes a knock-out stage and a "back door" for teams defeated in the first round.
22 clubs currently participate in the Intermediate Championship. Bantry Blues lead the all-time roll of honour having won the championship on six occasions.
Bandon are the title-holders after defeating Rockchapel by 1-10 to 1-7 in the 2016 championship decider.[1]
