The 2016 Northeast Conference Men's Soccer Tournament, was the twenty eighth edition of the tournament. It determined the Northeast Conference's automatic berth into the 2016 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship. LIU Brooklyn entered the tournament as the defending champions.

The St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers won the NEC title, besting the Saint Francis Red Flash, 10 in double overtime in the championship match. It was St. Francis Brooklyn's seventh NEC title overall and third in the last four years. The Saint Francis Red Flash have now played in seven championships and have never won.

The tournament was hosted by St. Francis Brooklyn, since they won the NEC Regular Season Championship and all matches were contested at Pier 5 in Brooklyn Bridge Park in Brooklyn, NY.
