The 2016–17 Detroit Pistons season was the 76th season of the franchise, the 69th in the National Basketball Association (NBA), and the 60th in Metro Detroit. It was the Pistons' final season at The Palace of Auburn Hills in nearby Auburn Hills, Michigan, ending a 42-year history of professional sports in Oakland County. They moved to the new Little Caesars Arena in Detroit for the 2017–18 season.[1]
