1996–97 United States network television schedule (weekday)
All the 3 Commercial Networks airs the Daytime Monday–Friday Schedules for each calendar season beginning in September 1996. All Times are in Eastern; affiliate schedules may differ.
Talk shows are highlighted in yellow, Local/Syndicated programming is white, reruns of prime-time programming are orange, game shows are pink, soap operas are chartreuse, news programs are gold and all others are light blue. New series are highlighted in bold.
Fall 1996
Winter 1996-1997
NOTES:
- On NBC, Sunset Beach debuted on January 6, 1997. NBC took back the noon slot from its affiliates and returned the 10 am slot to its affiliates.
- On ABC, The City aired its last episode on March 28, 1997. Port Charles debuted in its place in June 1997. The show was available to affiliates at Noon/11 CT or 12:30/11:30 CT.
- On FOX, once in February and once in March, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers aired for a week instead of Power Rangers Zeo.
Spring 1997
NOTE: On FOX, the 3:30pm ET time slot had several programs routine in and out. They included:
- Bobby’s World (March 31-April 11)
- Spider-Man (April 14-25)
- Goosebumps (April 28 - May 2)
- Eerie, Indiana (May 5-9)
- Life with Louie (May 12-16)
- Casper (May 19-23)
Summer 1997
NOTE: In July, Fox Kids replaced Power Rangers reruns at 4:30pm ET with Round the Twist (Mon-Thurs) and Stickin' Around (Fri)
