The 1993 Royal Liver Assurance UK Championship was a professional ranking snooker tournament that took place at the Guild Hall in Preston, England. The event started on 12 November 1993 and the televised stages were shown on BBC between 20 and 28 November 1993. The highest break of the tournament was 141 made by David Roe.
Ronnie O'Sullivan became the youngest winner of a ranking event at the age of 17 years and 358 days[1] by defeating Stephen Hendry 10–6 in the final, the record still stands to this day.
This was the first of O'Sullivan's record-equalling six titles at the tournament – a feat he shares with Steve Davis.
