The 1993 New Zealand National Basketball League season was the 12th running of the competition. The Hutt Valley Lakers won the championship in 1993 to claim their second league title.[1] Head coach Jeff Green guided the Lakers to the 1993 title over the Canterbury Rams with Peter Pokai hitting the game-winning jumper in the final. It was a special triumph for Green, who was sensationally sacked by the Lakers early in the season, but brought back with seven games to go.[2]
