The 1949 Summer Deaflympics officially known as the 6th Summer Deaflympics is an international multi-sport event that was held from 12 August 1949 to 16 August 1949.This event was hosted by Copenhagen,Denmark.[1]
This Deaflympics was held after 10 years since the last edition of the Deaflympics(1939) due to the prevalence of World War II.
Basketball and water polo were taken into consideration and were included for the first time in Deaflympics history.
