100 Days My Prince[1] (Hangul: 백일의 낭군님; RR: Baekirui Nanggunnim; lit. Hundred Days' Husband) is a 2018 South Korean television series starring Do Kyung-soo, Nam Ji-hyun and Jo Sung-ha. It is being aired on tvN starting from September 10, 2018 every Monday and Tuesday at 21:30 (KST) time slot.[2][3][4][5]
Synopsis
Lee Yul's father usurps the throne with the aid of the ruthless Vice Premier, who murders the current king and his loyal supporters. As Yul believes that Yi Seo, the girl he has vowed to marry, has also been killed in the coup, he bitterly resents his new position as the crown prince of Joseon.
Years on, during a long-drawn drought, Yul orders the marriage of all singles throughout Joseon. This is to avoid consummating his marriage to the Crown Princess, who is the daughter of the Vice Minister and whom he hates. While en route to a rainmaking ritual, Yul and his party are ambushed by assasins, and he almost dies.
Yi Seo, who had managed to escape unscathed in the coup years ago, has been adopted by a commoner man and now lives undercover as a peasant girl named Hong Shim. It is her adoptive father who finds the terribly wounded Yul and nurses him back to consciousness - but Yul has lost his memory.
Hong Shim refuses to abide by the crown prince's decree and become the concubine of a lecherous nobleman. This causes her to be flogged, and her father takes advantage of Yul's amnesia to rescue his daughter. A very sceptical Yul learns that he is Hong Shim's betrothed, Won Deuk, a man whom her father had recommended but whom she had never met.
Thus Yi Seo and Yul marry, neither of them the wiser of each other's true identities. [6]
