International calls
To dial a number in Zimbabwe from another country, the international call prefix depends on the country from where the call is being made, e.g. 00 for most European countries, and 011 from North America, followed by the country code for Zimbabwe, 263. To dial a number in another country from Zimbabwe, a subscriber would dial the international access code 00 followed by the country code and the number required, for example, to call a number in Johannesburg, South Africa, 00 27 11 xxx xxxx. Until 1996, the international access code was 110.[4]
