Cognate with Bashkir булыу (bulïw), Chuvash пулма (pulma), Karakhanid [script needed] (bolmāq), Kazakh болу (bolw), Khakas поларға (polarğa), Kyrgyz болуу (boluu), Southern Altai болор (bolor), Turkmen bōlmak, Tuvan болур (bolur), Uyghur بولماق (bolmaq), Uzbek boʻlmoq, Yakut буол (buol). Possibly cognate with Azerbaijani olmaq, Crimean Tatar olmaq, Turkish olmak.
