ตระพัง

ตระพัง • (dtrà-pang)

1. (archaic) natural or artificial place containing water, as basin, lagoon, pond, pool, reservoir, tank, well, etc.
   • 1835 BE (1292/93 CE), Ram Khamhaeng the Great, Ram Khamhaeng Inscription:

     กลางเมืองสุโขทัยนี้มีน้ำตระพังโพยสีใสกินดีดั่งกินน้ำโขงเมื่อแล้ง

     glaang mʉʉang sù-kǒo-tai níi mii náam dtrà-pang pooi sǐi sǎi gin dii dàng gin náam kǒong mʉ̂ʉa lɛ́ɛng

     In the middle of this Sukhothai Town, there is Phoi Si Pool filled with crystal clear water of excellent taste like the taste of the Khong water during the dry season.
