Etymology

From the same Proto-Indo-European root as քերեմ (kʿerem), but grown with -ծ- (-c-). Cognate with Lithuanian sker̃sti and Latvian šķērst.

Verb

քերծեմ (kʿercem)  (aorist indicative քերծեցի)

  1. (transitive) to strip off, to peel, to bark, to pare
  2. (transitive) to shave

Usage notes

Do not confuse with գերծեմ (gercem).
