Pronunciation

Pronoun

քեզ (kʿez)

  1. you (objective form, singular, informal)

Old Armenian

Etymology

The stem *քե- (*kʿe-) is from Proto-Indo-European *twé. Compare Ancient Greek accusative σέ (), Sanskrit nominative त्वम् (tvám). The ending -եզ (-ez) is from the same Proto-Indo-European *-ǵʰi, *-ǵʰe particle as the (-j) in ինձ (inj), with the regular development of *ǵʰզ (z) between vowels.
