Participle from stem μαθη- + suffix for passive Perfect -μένος from ancient verb μανθάνω (manthánō, “I understand”).[1] In Modern Greek grammar: perfect participle of μαθαίνομαι (mathaínomai), passive voice of μαθαίνω.
