  1. nobody, no one (not any person; the logical negation of somebody)
    Και τελικά δεν ήρθε κανένας. ― Kai teliká den írthe kanénas. ― And finally no one came.
    Δεν βλέπω κανέναν. ― Den vlépo kanénan. ― I cannot see anyone. I can see nobody.
  2. anyone, anybody
    Βλέπετε κανέναν; ― Vlépete kanénan? ― Can you see anybody?
    'Ηρθε κανένας στο γραφείο; ― 'Irthe kanénas sto grafeío? ― Did anyone come to the office?
