Αἰκατερίνη

Ancient Greek

Etymology

Often said to be from Ἑκάτη (Hekátē, Hecate), though the OFD finds this unconvincing. Or, from ἑκάτερος (hekáteros, each of the two).[1]

Pronunciation

Proper noun

Αἰκατερῑ́νη (Aikaterī́nē) f (genitive Αἰκατερίνης); first declension
