From Ottoman Turkish اوينامق (oynamak, to play, perform, risk, disport, move, vibrate, dance, amuse one's self, jest), from Old Anatolian Turkish [script needed] (oyna-), from Proto-Turkic [Term?]. Equivalent to oyun (game) + -a (archaic verb forming suffix from nouns).
