nt-jqrt

Egyptian

Etymology

nt (Neith) + jqrt, feminine of jqr (excellent), thus literally ‘Neith is excellent’.

While non-erroneous uses of this name are attested for other individuals, the name’s application to a sixth dynasty pharaoh/queen likely originated as a later error for nṯrj-kꜣ-rꜥ.

Pronunciation
